Selected Trip Journal entries:
8:42 AM = Started engine. 7575.7 trip miles. 16633 total. Today will be the last time I'll be in Alaska on this trip, but I'll be back... Long day's journey to Prince Rupert tonight -- via Hyder, AK.
8:51/7575.8 = On the road again. This is the 5th time I'm on this section of the Alaska Highway between Watson Lake and JCT Hwy 37 -- most repeated ever (so far).
9:05/7859.3 = Hwy 37 South. "South To Alaska".
9:10 = 7591.4 = "The Best Place on Earth": Was welcomed to British Columbia. 395 miles to Alaska...
11:11/7709.6 = Start dirt road.
11:27/7722.7 = Stopped for accident -- RV off the road and blocking the road -- the rain was turning the road into mud and I had to learn how to drive again!
11:39 - Moving again -- delay wasn't so bad, and all in RV are ok.
11:45/7726.1 = End of (now mud) road.
11:50-12:18 = At Dease Lake, BC. Bought washer fluid, gas, lunch, dinner, and cleaned my pants and the driver side door of a lot mud! Also withdrew $60 CAD.
12:44/7761.4 = Gravel road.
1:00/7773.3 = Out of it.
1:23/7795.0 = Dirt/Gravel Road. At this rate, I'm thinking of skipping Alaska until next trip. Hyder is 5 days trip from San Jose.

2:00/7829.3 = Mud.
2:03/7831.8 = Tar.
2:24/7851.8 = For the first time on this road, there is a center line.

4:24/7977.2 = Stewart.
4:33/7981.3 = ALASKA! (No customs this side!) Turned around and came back
4:36/7981.8 = Back to Canada. That was the last time in Alaska on this trip!
I WILL BE BACK!
4:47 = on the road again. This was a good trip!
5:05/8000.7 = I think one of the 2 same bears as before -- crossing the other way... guess it just wanted some water from the river.. It was too fast for me though -- no pic this time.
(That was Bear Glacier)
5:25/8022.1 = Back on Hwy 37 South.
9:15/8267.0 = Howard Johnson Prince Rupert.
