11:30 = Left motel. 6116.0 trip miles. 15173 total.
Today's my last full day in Alaska on this trip -- 3 weeks after leaving home and 15 days (including today) here...
11:54/6117.8 = On the road again. Mountains are visible...
12:02/6124.7 = Joined Hwy 1 East -- but I won't say yet that my trip back home has begun....
12:30 - Passed on some advice to three "F.O.B."'s at a viewpoint -- great panoramic shots there! 180 degree unobstructed view of river and mountains
3:09/6270.5 = Turned left on Richardson Hwy North ... 3rd time on this section of road till Gakona Junction.
3:23/6284.5 = Turned right on Hwy 1 (Tok Cut-off) again... for the first time.
(This is the last of the "new roads" in this part of Alaska). The Alaska Range is STRAIGHT AHEAD!!!
This road is built on top of permafrost in this area -- loooot of bumps and dips
5:44/6394 = I'm getting very lucky in all these construction zones -- approaching them just as the pilot car is leaving!
6:15/6403 = Since about 6390 miles, road has been either gravel, loose dirt, packed dirt, mud, or ROCKS. And it continues...
6:21/6405.7 = PAVEMENT!!
6:24 = Arrived at Tok... 6406.9 trip miles
