9:00 PM = Left home. 0.0 trip Miles. 56431 total. Filled up gas; "got comfortable", and ON THE ROAD at 9:16 PM; 4.0 miles.

5:44 PM = 819.2 miles = Passed exit 168 for I-84. Headin' East (not towards Portland) -- Where I end up remains to be seen -- Denver?

9:55 PM = 1132.9 miles = Stopped w/ engine off on the freeway; there's a car fire about 1/4 mile ahead ... all traffic stopped -- lotsa
trucks on the road ....... now I'm thinkin' of turning around and goin back home! No idea how long this is gonna take -- could be hours!
10:15 PM = Going for a walk.
10:35 PM = The fire is almost out, but i gotta go to the restroom!!! (ACK!) made reservation at La Quinta Inn in Golden, CO ... so now my
trip is decided.... maybe. Expecting to be on my way again by 11pm hopefully -- nothing informative on Cheyenne radio station 97.9 FM. 2+
hours more to drive tonight (180 miles @ 80 MPH). Then 1260 miles more tomorrow (if i go via Reno) -- that'll bring trip miles to 2572.
(calculated Miles/Day on this car since i bought it on April 5, 2000: at 2572 trip miles = 102.0813 miles/day. At 2602 trip miles =
102.1332 miles/day.
Went to sleep for a couple of hours, woke up at midnight...
12:38 AM : MOVING!!!
3:00 AM = Arrived at La Quinta Inn (finally!) 1308.1 miles.

problem!

beyond is a little static-y)
