A few more things before you start reading the journal...

Before I left, Parixit asked me to mail him a postcard from every state. A big part of my trip was about trying to find, buy, write, stamp, address, and mail Parixit a postcard from each state. In some places, doing that was very easy; in other places, it was almost impossible! There will be several times in this journal when I will mention how difficult it was to do something as simple as buying a postcard - and how simple it was to do something as difficult as what I did on that day (does that make sense?)!!!

A few people have asked/suggested that they also want to take a trip like this. I do not recommend it!!! Not just because you need an unlimited amount of time and money - that is irrelevant. If you want to take a trip like mine, you need to have my kind of mentality: must not mind being alone for extended periods of time (obviously)! I definitely do NOT recommend going with somebody -- if ya wanna do it, do it alone! The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. (But that does not mean I did not enjoy the portion of my trip with Sachin - ya can read bout dat L8R!). BUT -- if ya DO have unlimited time, unlimited money, an' da nat mind bein' alone.... GO FER IT!!! I promise ya dat ya'll have da time o' yar life!!!

A final note about this journal:

It is IMPOSSIBLE to condense almost five months worth of adventures into a few pages. I have not written down EVERYTHING that happened to me, simply cuz dat just ain't not too practical! But I have written about what I thought were the more interesting parts. You may find this journal boring (me hopes u don't), but my trip was anything but boring!!! (I already mentioned that, didn't I?).

What follows is a story that is so:
strange,
unusual,
peculiar,
eccentric,
outlandish,
bizarre, and
"just plain ridiculous"
that it is:
fully,
completely,
totally,
utterly,
entirely,
wholly,
absolutely,
altogether
100% accurate.

Really...

And so, finally, ...
