TRIP ONE JOURNAL

NOTES

1 "Citibank Fraudulent Use Complaint" Document : In December of 1993, my "Citibank" credit card bill had some purchases on it that were not mine. Apparently, someone in Guatemala was using my credit card number to buy things in a sporting goods store. I called the Citibank 800-number and told them about this, and they sent me the "Fraudulent Use Complaint" form to fill out, get a Notary Public's signature, and mail along with my next payment. When I left home on January 16, I took my bill and this form with me. I finally mailed both on January 24.

A FINAL COMMENT:

A common question a lot of people have asked me since I have come back is:

"How was your trip?"

Hmmmm...... I am getting pretty tired of answering that question, but I realize this is a normal question to ask, so that's O.K. After reading this journal (if you read it), you should already know the answer. In case you don't, here it is:

My trip, although it had a lot of bad days, was fantastic. Even the bad days turned out nice (they could have been a lot worse). Number One, I did not get killed during any of my driving blunders. Number Two, I did not get mugged in places like Dallas or New Orleans. And no matter how many times I got lost, I always did find my way back.

The "good days" were exceptional - Corpus Christi, Florida Keys, Key West, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, EPCOT Center, and Petrified Forest are all worth a second visit.

My only regret is that I missed the February 2nd Space Shuttle lift-off even though I was only 2 hours away from Cape Canaveral on February 1st - I could have very easily gone to Cape Canaveral on the 1st to see the lift-off on the 2nd.

Maybe some other time...

THE END
