I was there for a family reunion last year July 4 - actually it was in a little corn town called Whiting about 40 min south of Sioux City. I'm really into old postcard collecting and did the same thing - looking for postcards in Sioux City, Council Bluffs, Omaha, etc - when I was out there last year. If you ever get that way again (or wherever you go for that matter), you can usually find really neat old and new postcards (fairly reasonable prices, too - 25 cents to a few dollars, depending on age and condition) at most antique malls and shops. Not all shops have postcards, but the shop owners all know each other within the locale, so you can just ask them to tell you which of their colleagues has postcards, or whatever you're looking for.
