Good whatever-time-of-the-day-it-is,
Arrived in London after only 2 "almost" strip-searches in San Jose and LA
airport security checkpoints. Right now I'm at Heathrow airport waiting for my
flight to Athens (which will be in 11,200 seconds from now). I'm in this place
called "Holideck" in terminal 4 -- no that is not HOLODECK, it's HOLIDECK --
this is London airport, not the Starship Enterprise. It's basically a 3-story
lounge with a viewing area of the airport. And complimentary drinks and light
snacks and complimentary internet access -- well, "complimentary" after paying
an £18 entrance fee. But it's a good way to pass the time - the chairs
themselves are fantastic to just laze around in - i want one of those chairs!
Unfortunately they're not complimentary.
Anyway, I did get a lot of sleep on the plane from LAX (did not see any of the
4 movies), so not too worried about spending the whole day tomorrow in Athens
with only maximum of about 1 hour sleep tonight. I have no idea what time it is
- it's dark outside, but I just had breakfast at an Italian restaurant here.
The tiramisu wasn't as good as in S.F.
What I do know is that my flight to that little town in greece is now in 10,800
seconds. I'm gonna go sit in those chairs again now and watch the airport
activity... Toodle-oo.
