Subject: Greetings from the 3rd-most beautiful city in the world!
Sydney is gorgeous! I came here last night (29th), and am staying with some
relatives -- first time not in a motel. The drive over here from Bairnsdale was
quicker than expected. I had originally planned to go up along the coastal
Princes Hwy, then came to a sign that said "Sydney--->" and "Sydney--->" for
two different directions at a fork in a road. I took the left fork, which goes
up through Australian Capital Territory (Canberra) and then onward to Sydney.
That highway is quite nice -- and even more enjoyable since it was a 4-lane
freeway! There aren't too many of those around here, so you have to cherish
each one as you get 'em! So the drive that I was expecting to be at an average
of 85 kmph actually averaged more than 100 kmph, which meant I reached Sydney
well before sunset last night!
